Naya finds a girl willing to take her place on The Line, but realizes she isn’t willing to turn her over. Plan B. Only after meeting a young man, Ric Bennett, and his team of resistance fighters, does Naya understand what she needs to do. Now, Naya will risk everything to break The Line.

Exie warns Olivia that if she hears her story of defeat, she might become trapped by it herself, but Olivia doesn't believe her.
That is her second mistake.
When strange things happen to Olivia that she cannot explain, Olivia's life spirals out of control. Supernatural dangers threaten Olivia's life and attempt to dissuade her from continuing her investigation into Exie's story - but she doesn't stop. She cannot, she must finish the story, whatever the cost.

Amber’s best friend is dead. And that’s horrible.
But the worst part is that Amber is suspected of pushing
Carlie off that balcony at the party, instead of trying to save her – and now,
suddenly, eerily, Amber’s the most popular murderess at school.
Amber tries to set the record straight, and she’s backed up
by a group of A-crowders who witnessed Carlie’s tragic accident, but somehow
the press has gotten a hold of the story, and now she and the witnesses are on
the news, and no one will believe her when she says she’s innocent.
The police all but swear a vow to convict her.
Then, when another girl crosses Amber, and suddenly ends up
dead, Amber’s horror reaches new heights.
Someone is killing teenage girls. Someone is trying to frame Amber for murder.
And if Amber doesn’t figure it out quickly, she could spend
the rest of her life in prison, or worse yet, be the next victim.
