I went into my cave this morning, made a pot of coffee, had a few slices of cinnamon toast, moved my computer to my favorite spot on the dining room table, and WHAM, BAM, THANK YOU MA'AM knocked out two thousand words in three hours and finished the first draft of 'The Beast Reign.'
Amen, alleluia!
It's a freaking miracle!
I'm going to enjoy the feeling for today, then I am going to hunker down and edit this thing pronto because wouldn't it be cool if Book 2 could be out by the end of June, 2012?
One of the many joys of e-books, having e-publishing connections, and being the master of my own domain (so to speak) - expediency.
Besides, it's nice to have goals.
To quote "Pretty Woman" - one of my favorite characters, Kit DeLuca:
"You gotta have a goal? Do you have a goal?"
The punchline is, the other hooker answers, "I always wanted to be in the ice capades."
I must confess. Me too.
But lack of any athletic ability and any sort of athletic desire prevented my career as a figure skater.
But I digress...
