Workers are in my living room repairing some damage caused by the rain storms a few weeks back. My gardeners are mowing and blowing leaves around my back yard with a leaf blower. My husband is on Skype texting me "instructions" on how to deal with the workers.
My novel is on my computer screen waiting to be written.
I put my iPod on and cranked the classical music up as high as my ears could tolerate and I can still hear every time the workers move.
I truly, truly despise the fact that I am only able to concentrate in complete silence and I must resign myself to the fact that I will get nothing written (aside from exacerbated Facebook posts and frustrated blogs) until the workers are done.
I could cry.
